BANQUE COURTOIS

Dominique Chastel

Dominique Chastel, the Chairman of Banque Courtois, , was the first to give his support to the creation of the Toulouse Business School Foundation. It is well known that the oldest French bank (founded in 1760) has always been a leading partner of regional economic development (http://www.banque-courtois.fr).

Banque Courtois financed the importation of Australian wool and the construction of the first regional railroads during the XIX century. It was also involved in the development of Semvat (public transport), the IRDI and Tofinso (capital development) or TLT (local television). Without forgetting that it is Franck Courtois of Viçose, then President of the Chamber of Commerce of Toulouse, who created the Toulouse Business School in 1902.

Part of the Credit du Nord Group since 1992, Banque Courtois has succeeded in combining the assets of a regional bank (proximity, short circuits of decision, knowledge of economic environment) with those of a large national group.

ATALE

Pierre Bonald

The ATALE Association (Toulouse Association for Student Welcome and Housing) was created in 1986 by a few alumni from the Toulouse Business School, leading by Marie-Claude Augier and Pierre Bonald, its treasurer.

They had a dual ambition: initially the purpose was to offer the students of the Toulouse Business School housing near the school secondly the financing of projects linked to the school. The residence was then built in 1987: it offers 154 studios for the use of our students and also many services (fast food, banks, laundromat, etc...).

For the past two years, the administrators of ATALE have implemented the second phase of their project: to support the initiatives of the school in its Development Campaign. A donation was then granted by ATALE to the Alumni Association to launch its job search department. Moreover, ATALE is one of the three founders of the Toulouse Business School Foundation, with a donation of 50,000 euros. Marie-Claude Augier, and Pierre Bonald have taken an active part in the work of the Steering Committee.

ASSOCIATION DES AMIS DU GESCT

Philippe Chausson

The Association of the Friends of the Toulouse Business School was created at the end of 2005 as a means of collecting donations before the creation of the Foundation.

Successively lead by Beatrice Bouffil and Philippe Chausson, this Association collected gifts from Founders or Donors (see list on page 2). It also gathered funds collected by the students of the school to create scholarships. At the end of the process, it reserved all funds on behalf of the Foundation of France (110,000 euros), to this it is necessary to add other donations (105,000 euros) and 130,000 euros for the creation of Chairs.
