What is a Foundation?
A Foundation is the structure through which one or more persons or entities decide on the irrevocable allocation of goods, rights or resources to the development of a project of general interest having a non profit goal.
The Toulouse Business School Foundation was created under the aegis of the Foundation of France (http://www.fdf.org). Created in 1969, the Foundation of France is a unique institution in the French philanthropic landscape. It intervenes in all the fields of the general interest: solidarity, support for research, protection of natural resources and actions in favor of teaching and culture. The Foundation of France is the guarantor of the rigorous management of donations and full financial transparency
One of the objectives of the Foundation of France is "to create, on behalf of donors, funds and foundations." The foundations under its aegis are legally attached to the Foundation of France and each of them is managed by the Foundation on an individual basis.
